How to Appoint the Right Intermediary?

Companies around the EU have started offering intermediary services, however, it’s important to make sure that they are officially registered with the tax authorities in their country of establishment. A simple tax registration ID number is sufficient to prove the authenticity of the intermediary company.

Legal intermediaries established in Ireland must have an official IN number provided by Revenue and replicate it when negotiating with new customers. An agent link form with an ID number should be enough to legitimate the intermediary services.

Language can also play a huge role when choosing the right intermediary. It’s important to be able to read and be aware of the conditions you are dealing with because you will be transferring the responsibility of your VAT filings and submissions to another company.
