My Duty Collect’s integrated API database for the classification of Harmonized Code (HS) works in a simple and effective manner, strictly following the standards established by the World Customs Organization (WCO) in terms of coding, nomenclature and commodity groups. The API is working in compliance with the main and most up-to-date international trade rules and regulations including trade agreements, duties, taxes, fees considering eventual changes. Especially at this time of crisis caused by COVID-19, the global business outlook has switched significantly to the point that e-commerce has greatly expanded its share in global transactions.

The idea presented by the developers of the MDC HS Code Classification engine is to make it as easy as possible for users, once the automation process contemplates the inclusion of all necessary regulations to eliminate extra costs and financial risks of customs tariff calculation errors, precisely by providing better data and insights for its users.

Once in the system users are required to fill out some information such as the product description and its HS Code. If an HS Code is incorrect or mistyped, the system’s artificial intelligence will match the information to find the most accurate classification. The engine will then calculate the figures of the corresponding taxes and tariffs attached to the code. Due to the system’s functionality and interactive interface users can navigate and create parcels instantly 24 hours a day.

Main differentiators:

  • Fast responsiveness;
  • Accurate and reliable import taxes and duty calculation;
  • Multilingual options for selected markets;
  • Easily integrable with third-party APIs;
  • Multi-Currency payment options.
